Vattenfall is already operating Scandinavia’s largest offshore wind farm in Denmark and has plans to develop Finland’s first major offshore wind farm. Seagust, backed by experienced owners, brings a strong Scandinavian foundation and a proven track record of building industrial companies and creating local employment opportunities along the Norwegian coast.

As Scandinavians, we have a clear ambition to foster the growth of an international supplier industry in the region, generating numerous new sustainable jobs in Norway and throughout Scandinavia – and leveraging our highly competitive industrial base. Vattenfall+Seagust aims to play a pivotal role in this development by collaborating with local industries across Norway. Our partnerships participants have a long-standing history of job creation, particularly in coastal areas, smaller towns, and rural regions.

Enormous energy potential

The extensive water-covered areas of Scandinavia exceed the landmass, highlighting the region’s enormous energy potential from powerful ocean winds. This potential surpasses the already abundant and substantial hydropower resources, contributing to addressing the energy trilemma of sustainability, security, and affordability.
